... Change in the weather expected for the Thanksgiving Holiday...
A change in the weather pattern to wetter conditions will occur
during the middle of next week and continue into the Holiday
weekend as a series of storm systems impact the area.
The first of these systems will move onshore over central
California Tuesday night and across the Great Basin Wednesday
through Thanksgiving day. Precipitation associated with this storm
system could begin as early as Tuesday afternoon over western Utah
as moisture spreads into the area. Precipitation is then expected
to become more widespread on Wednesday through Thanksgiving day with
snow in the mountains and primarily rain in valley areas below
6000 ft.
While there is still much uncertainty at this point with the track
of the storm systems beyond Thursday... cool and unsettled
conditions are possible through the Holiday weekend.
Those planning outdoor activities or travel during the
Thanksgiving Holiday should monitor NOAA Weather Radio or local
media for the latest updates on this situation.
