... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 10 am Sunday to 6 am
MDT Monday...
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Winter Weather
Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 10 am Sunday to 6 am MDT
Monday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
* Snow accumulations... storm total accumulations of 4 to 8 inches
are generally expected... with locally higher amounts above 7500
feet.
* Timing... snow will develop over the higher terrain by midday
Sunday and will expand in coverage and intensity Sunday
afternoon into Sunday night. The snow is expected to decrease in
coverage and intensity by Monday morning... with only light showers
lingering into the day Monday.
* Winds... widespread significant winds are not expected at this
time.
* Snow levels... snow levels will range between 7000 and 8000
feet Sunday afternoon with levels dropping down to 5500 to
6500 feet Sunday night.
* Local impacts... snow is expected to impact travel due to snow
packed roadways and reduced visibilities.
